Belladonna Blue (The Mentalist fic)
Mar. 7th, 2015 11:03 pmBELLADONNA BLUE
Fandom: The Mentalist
Summary: He knows it's her without even turning his head, knows her from the sweep of her skirt around her knees as she settles on the top step, the dance of her long hair in the corner of his vision.
Characters: Patrick Jane, Angela Ruskin Jane (sort of), Teresa Lisbon
Words: ~2,400
Notes: ...That was unexpected. I've watched "The Mentalist" for years, and been a fan in a low-key sort of way, but never expected to write fic about it. Then I watched the lovely series finale, and was musing about Patrick Jane's wedding ring, and this happened. And I'm rather fond of how it turned out, so I'm going to post it here, though I don't know if any of you are familiar with this show. This contains definite spoilers for the season 7 finale "White Orchids," and probably also won't make much sense if you're not familiar with episode 5x02, Devil's Cherry. (Though I'd certainly be super curious to know if the story works at all for someone who doesn't know the show! Hm, probably not. Anyway...)
Rated T for hallucinogenic/deliriant drug use.
