Wow, you're making me want to reread Exit West – because it's been just long enough that, while I remember the plot well, I no longer have aspects like structure and narrative voice right in the front of my mind. By unconventional framework, do you mean the way it follows the main characters, but also jumps away to show what's happening with the doors in different parts of the world? Or something else?
