Remember that enormous, epic Remus/Tonks story I started writing, oh, nearly six years ago now?
I just posted the final chapter.
Of course, somehow, inevitably, the way the timing of it worked out left me scrambling to revise and post the final chapter of the story while also preparing to leave for an entire summer of travel in less than three days from now.
I got the story done; presumably I will also manage to get myself onto the plane and to Europe. Very soon, I'm sure I'm going to feel very, very accomplished.
Right now, though, I mostly just feel utterly zonked, and I want to go to bed. So I'm going to do that.
More thoughts soon!

Date: 2016-06-21 11:59 am (UTC)You know, I've been on the move so much, I'm still not sure how it feels! Definitely a little bit cut adrift, like, wait, what do I actually focus on if not this project that's been demanding my attention for so long...?

Date: 2016-06-22 03:52 pm (UTC)And yeah, I've been wondering what my next big writing project should be! Actually going to post about that soon. :-)
But first...time to watch Iceland in the Euro Cup, because if I have to cheer for somebody, it's gonna have to be them. (Supporting Germany is pretty boring, especially if you're IN Germany...) Áfram Ísland!

Date: 2016-06-22 03:55 pm (UTC)(you're not nuts and tbh you could probably do it. it's the cheapest type of accommodation really, and hotels book fast (and are expensive) because of the high demand. i'm not so sure about your valuables though - where in the country would you be staying?
haha! i haven't been paying attention to the Euro Cup. i don't care that much about football, and i'm not patriotic enough to care if Iceland wins... it would be really cool if they did, though!

Date: 2016-06-22 05:22 pm (UTC)I think I really probably will camp - I still have my tent & camping gear from last time I was in Iceland! The course is in Ísafjörður, which of course is tiny tiny, but every Icelandic village I've ever been to had a little campground somewhere downtown, so, hopefully this'll be the same.
And oh, yes, believe me, I'm the very opposite of patriotic, and I care zero about football... But in Germany you're so surrounded by it, I felt like I had to either spend the next weeks being annoyed about it, or pick a team to be mildly excited about! Iceland is at that lucky confluence of being a place I like a whole lot, and also not such a superpowered team that it's practically boring to root for them, like Germany... I really want Iceland to make it into the next round, so I can have something to be excited about for a little longer!
