Ah, man, I feel like I need to apologize for all this recent Torchwood-ness to my f-list friends who aren't Torchwood fans, which as far as I know is...all of you! It's a phase, not a permanent shift, I swear.

(HP projects still in progress: massive R/T story, final Dumbledore/Grindelwald story, maybe one or two other genfic ideas I've got knocking around, plus maybe a fun Remus/Sirius AU I'm not going to tell you anything about just yet. ;-)

Also more Sherlock, probably, who knows.

...Seriously, though, is there anyone out there who will squee with me even a little bit over yesterday's announcement that it's official, Torchwood is coming back as a series of 6 audio plays, and they're being produced by Big Finish (the folks who do the much-acclaimed Doctor Who audio plays), which means they'll almost definitely actually be good, and everyone can carry on pretending Miracle Day never happened and Torchwood can go back to being very strange but wonderful?? Anybody?

I was just updating my LJ profile to reflect the expanding nature of the fic I write, and I realized...all my fandoms are British. I mean, I knew most of them were, but now it's all. I can't decide if this means that the US needs to step up, or if it's just that I personally am unduly diverted by shininess from over the sea. Or maybe Monty Python and Douglas Adams just hardwired my brain at an impressionable age, and I imprinted like a duckling on that particular brand of cleverness and humo/ur. But, seriously, any country that produces both J. K. Rowling and John Finnemore...that's a place I want to be.
