General notes: I’m starfishstar on AO3 and on DW. I'm easy to please! If you love these characters, then I know I'll love whatever you choose to write/create about them. <3

Likes: A focus on character interactions, be that friendship or romance or family. Found family dynamics. Humor and banter. UST (all the UST) as long as it resolves by the end. Happy or hopeful endings: angst and complexity are fine – I like stories that are realistic! – but I do need at least some degree of hope.

I love all of these characters – how much they care about each other and try to do right by each other. I'm here for any of the relationships listed above, in any combinations. (I can happily give more specific prompts if desired, but I don't want to go overboard! There are also more detailed thoughts in previous letters of mine, e.g., here) And just to mention, since it's the only non-canonical one listed here: I've developed a small fascination with the idea of Giddon/Po – the period in canon where Giddon learns Po's secret, is furious, and then gradually works through it is fascinating as it is, but how much more intense might it be if their feelings for each other were more than platonic?

Some favorite things: Elio/Oliver. Elio/the world (i.e., Elio discovering and engaging with the world as an adult for the first time, being treated as an adult for the first time – basically falling in love with life at the same time as he's falling in love with Oliver). Judaism as an important bond between the two of them, something that draws them to each other. I love Elio's parents, too, how they give him space to grow while also being there when he needs them. I kind of headcanon that Oliver doesn't have nearly as supportive parents, so getting to have a somewhat parental relationship with Elio's parents quietly means a lot to him.

I love Phryne/Jack and the intense attraction/affection that pulls them toward each other despite all their differences. I love how Phryne collects found family – all these people she draws to her and then makes them part of her life and home. I LOVE Mac and would be tickled to see her and Jack trying to figure out their way around each other – they're so very different, but they both love Phryne. I love how Phryne is so true to herself, and doesn't compromise about living life on her own terms, but also has this enormous well of compassion for everyone who crosses her path. I love how Jack's got that buttoned-up, proper, I-live-by-a-firm-code-of-conduct exterior, but then a heart as deep as the ocean just barely concealed beneath it.

Some favorite things: How Luc and Oliver are both complicated, messy people who mess up a lot of things in their lives but try really hard to do better...and to do right by each other. How the book treats the central relationship earnestly while also having a delightfully unhinged level of silliness in the side characters. Alex and Miffy being so wonderfully, goodhearted-ly, posh-ly dumb. Luc trying to keep it together while dealing with Alex (and Miffy) being the way they are. Straight-laced Oliver and eccentric Odile somehow turning out to be great friends. All the romance and all the silliness!

Or the same for Seraphina and Orma – who dragonishly doesn't always understand his half-human niece, but always looks out for her. And I'm always curious to see more of the Seraphina/Glisselda/Kiggs triad – what is their daily life like, behind the royal facade?

This seems to have become one of my forever pairings – the platonic relationship of all five of these ridiculous kids bouncing off of each other. I definitely ship Jack/Ianto – and frankly you can also ship anyone else here that you want to, since that's kind of the nature of canon! – but I think my very favorite part is simply all five of them being together, bantering, solving weird sci-fi mysteries, irritating each other but having each other's backs. Dawwww, they all love each other. :-)

I'm a big fan of Noah/Will, but I also should have thought to nominate the friendship pairings here – Noah & Howie, or all five of Noah and his friends together – so feel free to work with any combination of those! And gosh, I do love Noah/Will. I enjoyed how there was a kind of understanding between them long before they finally gave in and kissed each other. Like when Noah storms into Will's friends' beach house/palace to deal with some other bullshit from that group, but when Will shows up, Noah takes a half second out of his tirade to give Will this "oh, hey" nod – like, I see you, I get you, sorry that I have to deal with this ridiculousness right now but also hi. Or Will at the drag show!! I love that he seems so buttoned up, but when he decides to go for something, he goes all in. And then their acknowledgement at the end that they're both nonmonagamous, but they're going to try this romance thing anyway. What will that look like for them? What path will they find to having a lasting connection with each other, while also each being true to themselves and their nonmonogamy?

You can see that my interests, after all these years, have come to circle pretty closely around Andromeda, and the overlaps of the Tonks/Lupin/Potter families. I'm in awe of Andromeda, who goes through more loss than anyone should have to face, yet still emerges to raise her grandson as her own. I like to think of Teddy being basically another kid in the Potter household, with Harry and Ginny as strong additional parents to love and guide him. Happy to read about any era and any combination of the above characters, from canon-era Ginny looking up to Tonks like a big sister, through to little Teddy all grown up!
