Ooh, I don't think I have, I'll have to bookmark that one. I definitely LOVED "Murderous, Co-Dependent" by rageprufrock, a BBC-based fic in which both Sherlock and John are cats. It's an old favorite. (And if I remember right, there was a brief moment in BBC Sherlock fandom where cats were the preferred animal-Holmes, until otters gained ascendancy thanks to redscharlach. I have zero complaints, because both redscharlach & her otters are the best, but a cat does seem like a more fitting Holmes...)
