I don't think "Seemingly unrequited pining" is synonymous with UST, just a subtype? UST doesn't have to have pining - sometimes it's just a growing tension/awareness before something tips over. Or it can also be "clearly requited, but we have Reasons not to go for it"! Both of which I like a lot. *g*

Also, I love any time when people in fandom have differing tastes, but discuss them respectfully.
