Oh gosh, yes, there are MANY Russian Holmes adaptations, actually! There's the original Russian series (lauded as one of the best adaptations) and then the "new" Russian series (which people also seem to love) – I haven't watched either only because I tend to go more for written Holmes adaptations than screen, but maybe I will eventually, because it sounds like they're both excellent. And then there's also this female!Holmes, female!Watson adaptation which is such a strange combination of absurdist humor and melancholy.
I'm now 1000 words into the rt_morelove fic! Yay! (It's all thanks to the "Write Every Day" challenge trobadora is running.)
And I hear "The Snow Wolf" had an amazingly kind & patient beta who answered my thousand questions about it. ;-)
