Notes: This is my other Holmestice gift for language_escapes – this was originally planned as my main Holmestice work, but then it didn't qualify for the fest since it's only an excerpt. So this became a Holmestice treat, and I made the Mary Russell & Harriet Vane artwork as well. :-)
