I LOVE that she still writes fic! So many authors burn their fanfic bridges when they go pro, and I do understand if people need to keep that separate, but I love that she's at home with doing both.

I also came across some great stuff she said about learning to do original writing through fic (as I was giddily googling Naomi Novik + fanfiction, after you mentioned it) that's happily hanging around in the back of my brain right now. May write something about that at some point.
