I love the eternal autumn imagery, the idea that things are frozen here when they should be moving forward out in the world. Especially since the season that they are missing is spring, with all those themes of rebirth and renewal. [Full disclosure: I actually fall more than spring, myself. ;) ]
How fitting that the motorbike was what brought the Beast out of his shell again! But it's so sad the way -- if I'm interpreting this correctly -- he doesn't think he deserves to share the human moments of his past.
