Nice to know there are folks who enjoy these quiet, reflective fics :-) Yeah, I think I do have a thing for writing stories where these characters, who've lived through all this crazy stuff, finally get to live normal lives - that's what basically all my post-canon fics are about, I think!

Harry acknowledging here how important Hermione was to them surviving that year is all down to stereolightning; it's something she mentioned when we were talking about Hermione and Harry, so I wanted to include that - because it's true. Hermione's role was enormous, and I'm sure Harry knows that!
