This whole fic is so sad and heartwrenching, and it all rings so very true. Especially the interaction between Hope and Lyall; you've captured the guilt, the way Hope can't cope with her husband right away, and then their tentative way of finding back to facing this as a team. That was really well done!

I can hardly think of much that would be worse for a parent than having to do this. Again and again. It sure says a lot about Remus's strength - and about his parents probably as well - that he grew up to be the person that he did.
