And I recommended it because at the time I was LJ friends with the younger sister of the author, and on her LJ she was like "Hey, my sister wrote a thing and I think it's really good, my bf liked it and he doesn't even like reading", and I was like "sure, I'll try it" and then was like "oh she wasn't just being nice about her sister's book" and it turned into this whole huge hit.
